The purpose of this post is to manage the technical operations. By providing operational input and ensuring that projects are executed on time and within budget. Responsible for co-ordinating with various teams, to ensure smooth project execution as well as evaluating and implementing new technologies. Conducting quality control checks and resolving technical issues.
Key relationships:
CEO, Project Managers, Site Managers, HR, SHEQ, Logistics, Procurement, External stakeholders.
Min 10 -15 years’ proven experience in the electrical, construction or technical environment as part of the project management team or managing of the project management team.
Essential knowledge required:
- Operational and project planning
- Pricing tenders
- SHEQ AND ISO Compliance
- MS Project (Programming, Resource Histogram, etc.)
- Electrical Materials, Construction and Best Practices.
- SANS 10142
- Up to date with industry regulations and current trends in electrical contracting
- Initiating & Chairing Hearings
- Understanding and Implementing Business Processes and Procedures.
- Managing of Contracts (JBCC, NEC, GCC, FIDIC) and all contractual matters that arise.
- High Technical Aptitude and Understanding. (Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems)
