Junior Associate Cape Town City
Our client, a professional services/law firm, is seeking a Junior Associate with at least 2 year post-admission experience with a focus on corporate or commercial matters.
Salary: Market related – depends on experience.
Hours: 8am to 5pm Full-time in-office position.
Minimum Requirements
LLB degree from a recognised South African university.
Admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Minimum 2 years post-admission experience with a focus on corporate or commercial matters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Experience in handling corporate commercial transactions and legal documentation.
Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law principles.
Ability to work independently as part of a team.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting senior attorneys in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to company formation, mergers, acquisitions, and general commercial law matters.
Conducting legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
Providing support in due diligence processes for corporate transactions.
Assisting in preparing and presenting legal opinions and advice to clients.
Liaising with clients and external parties on legal matters.
Staying updated with relevant legal developments and regulations.
Collaborating with team members on various legal projects and initiatives.
