Payroll Officer Stellenbosch Cape Winelands  

Our client in Stellenbosch is looking for a Payroll Officer with 5 years plus experience. You need experience in managing and processing payroll. Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This role involves maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and addressing employee inquiries related to payroll.

Min Qualifications

Relevant Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field

Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and regulations.

Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and SAGE

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

 

Responsibilities

Payroll Processing – Prepare and process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly/monthly basis.

Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime.

Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.

Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and implement necessary changes.

Generate and distribute payroll reports to management

Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports.

Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.

Assist employees with payroll-related issues and provide guidance on payroll policies.

Utilize payroll software and systems to manage payroll processes efficiently.

Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software upgrades.
