Specialist role for a seasoned professional with strong research, financial acumen, and persuasive writing ability. You’ll focus on industry and economic research for Australian markets while preparing high-quality reports, proposals, tenders, and strategic submissions that influence decision-makers.

Minimum Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Communications, Business, Economics, Journalism, or Legal
Proven ability to analyse financial, business, and industry data
Minimum 3 years’ experience in business research, proposals, tenders, or RFQs
Strong business research and analytical skills with focus on industry/economic data
Exceptional business writing skills with persuasive communication ability, including drafting reports, proposals, tenders, and other business-related documents
Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Corporate exposure within consultancy, business strategy, or economics (preferred)
Proficiency in business and industry research tools (e.g., ABS, Statista, IBISWorld, AusTender, or equivalent platforms) preferred
Highly organised, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple projects

Duties and Responsibilities:
Research industry, business, economic, and financial data with a focus on Australian markets
Develop and deliver high-quality, evidence-based business documents — including reports, proposals, tenders, funding applications, and other strategic submissions as required
Analyse and interpret business/financial information to support decision-making
Translate complex research into persuasive, professional narratives
Compile strong business cases to support funding and project approvals
Manage multiple research and writing projects under pressure
Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
