- Leading and managing the Qualifying Program for the introduction of new parts.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives by identifying root causes of part deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Testing and evaluating part performance to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Providing technical expertise on part materials and functionality.
- Developing and proposing design improvements to resolve complex part-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent performance of vehicle components to defined specifications across their lifecycle.
- Initiate and manage the Qualifying Program for new part introductions.
- Identify and resolve part deviations through all lifecycle phases using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Conduct testing and performance evaluations of parts based on technical specifications.
- Offer technical insights on material selection and part functionality.
- Recommend and implement design enhancements for complex component issues.
- National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of motor vehicle parts, their functions, specifications, manufacturing processes, and testing methods.
- Solid technical understanding of vehicle components and systems.
- Proficiency in Quality Tools such as DOE, SPC, FMEA, and 8D.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and related documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present effectively at all organizational levels and externally.
- Capable of working independently and managing tasks proactively.
- Willingness to travel both locally and internationally on short notice.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
