A leading organisation in the Banking Sector is seeking a highly skilled Middleware Engineer with expertise in IBM WebSphere and related technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building, integrating, and maintaining middleware solutions that are critical to secure, high-performance banking systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments for banking applications
• Develop, integrate and support middleware solutions using Java, JSON, SOAP and REST.
• Work on Spring Boot applications within secure banking environments
• Provide operational support, monitoring, and performance optimisation across middleware platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical banking systems
• Support Linux/Unix-based systems for application hosting and integration
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives in middleware and integration technologies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years in Middleware Engineering within the Banking or Financial Services Industry

Proven expertise with:

• IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
• Java, JSON, SOAP, REST
• Spring Boot
• Linux/Unis environments
• Experience with PDI (Pentaho Data Integration) will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and performance requirements in banking technology
• Analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting skills
