Our client is a well-established organisation within the Cold Storage Warehousing and Distribution Industry, providing high quality, temperature-controlled logistics solutions to leading clients across South Africa and Cross Boarder.  The company prides itself on operational excellence, compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service and efficiency. They are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Executive to join their leadership team and play a key role in driving financial strategy, governance and sustainable business growth.

Overview:

The Finance Executive will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial management, reporting, and strategic planning functions.  This position requires a strong leader with deep financial expertise, capable of providing strategic insights to support business decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Develop and implement sound financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations , tax requirements and company policies
• Present accurate and timely financial. Reports to the Managing Director
• Manage risk, governance and internal control frameworks
• Oversee cash flow, working capital and investment management
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to guide strategic initiatives and business decisions
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance

Qualifications and Experience

• Chartered Accountant qualification – Essential
• Minimum 8 – 10 years’ experience in a senior finance or executive management role
• Proven experience within the warehousing, cold storage, logistics or distribution environment preferred
• In depth knowledge of financial reporting and corporate governance principles
• Advance proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel) and strong computer literacy
• Experience working with ERP or accounting software
