Senior Quantity Surveyor

VACANCY:  SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Overview: BALLITO BASED Company Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor with a construction background to join our dynamic team. This role combines the responsibilities of cost estimation and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveying:

• Review and interpret architectural drawings, construction designs, specifications and plans and prepare accurate quantity requirements and costing estimates
• Review and compare contractor and supplier pricing and lead negotiations to drive effective cost management.
• Measurement and valuation of work done and analysis of payment certificates
• Advising on financial and contractual aspects of contractors` claims
• Assess and manage variations to the original contract and advise on potential cost impacts.

 

Qualifications:

• Qualified to professional standard in Quantity Surveying with membership of an appropriate professional body and/or educated to degree level.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor and Construction Project Management in a similar role.
• A strong technical cost management or estimating competency is essential
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and JBCC
• Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
• Excellent understanding of architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
