The successful candidate will be responsible for maintain and ensure adherence to the Food Safety & Quality Standards required in the areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Daily Inspection and checks of production facility, and reporting any deviations
• Conduct regular plant hygiene inspections and implement corrective actions as needed
• Good communicator.
• Food Safety and Food Safety Systems:
• Ensure facility always complies with relevant audit standard.
• Take responsibility in terms of quality and legislative compliance for all for all products produced inside the facility.
• Raise non-conformances (internal and for customer complaints) to address any issues relating to a deviation from the system, or relating to products manufactured that may be unsafe or consumption. Investigating root causes and implementing corrective and preventative action.
• Coordinate and monitor the corrective and preventive action system.

Product Quality:

• Ensure that all products manufactured are of unfailing quality, as per product specifications and customer expectation.
• Ensure personnel follows company’s procedures, practices and requirement (include hygiene procedures)
• Ensure that warehousing is following correct storage conditions.
• Verify that all checks are completed.
• Investigate quality issues that arise and implement corrective and preventative actions
• As per operational requirements, you may be required to perform ad hoc tasks from time to time.
• Verify in-line quality control (QC) checks to maintain product standards.
• Train employees on quality standards and best practices.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• Relevant Quality or similar qualification
• Min 3 years in a Quality Control role
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
• Own transport
• Internal auditing course

Salary: Market related + 13^th Cheque
