Our Financial Services client in Rosebank Johannesburg is looking for a Fraud & Compliance Analyst with 5 year plus solid experience. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and investigating fraudulent activities and ensuring that the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Min Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CFE, CAMS) is advantageous.
• Proven experience in fraud detection, investigation, and compliance roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Fraud Detection and Prevention – Monitor transactions and activities to identify unusual patterns or anomalies that may indicate fraudulent activity.
• Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraud cases and document findings.
• Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies and controls.
• Compliance Monitoring – Ensure the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those specific to South Africa.
• Data Analysis – Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks related to fraud and compliance.
• Reporting and Documentation – Prepare detailed reports on fraud investigations and compliance audits for management and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance and fraud-related activities.
