Financial Controller Midrand Johannesburg  

 

Our client a global giant is looking for an experienced Financial Controller in the Midrand Johannesburg Area. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the overall financial function of the business and its imports and distribution cost. The candidate must have experience in leading a finance team with working knowledge from an imports and distribution environment.

 

Salary Negotiable including medical aid pension

 

Min Requirements

• Accounting / Financial Qualification
• Preferably management accountant experience
• SAICA or SAIPA is a must
• Minimum of 7 post-qualification experience as a Financial Controller / Financial manager.
• You must have solid financial management and reporting abilities
• The ability to drive financial targets
• Experienced in IFRS
• Able to work on financial statements
• Completing Audit files and yearly audits with auditors
• Experience working for a Global company will be an advantage

 

Responsibilities:

• Management of the finance team, debtors, creditors and accounting
• Be able to compile and report on management accounts
• Preparation and distribution of monthly management reports and analysis of results
• Inventory/Stock management with overseas manufacturing and import divisions
• Oversee the compilation of accurate monthly accounts
• Ensure appropriate financial close procedures are in line, including account reconciliations, a full review of P & L including overhead accounts etc.
• Managing and compiling Budgets, forecasts, and cashflow
• Complete accurate monthly forward forecasting
• Dealing with importers/clearing and forwarding agents
• Calculating and managing the landing cost of imported products and pricing
• Management and ownership of the Annual Financial Audit process
