What you will be doing: 

Monthly Reporting

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
  • Update master schedules and review financial information for accuracy
  • Compile monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Cost Control

  • Review expenditure reports
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist with annual budgets
  • Maintain monthly rolling forecasts

Cashflow

  • Prepare and update monthly cashflow forecasts

External Audit

  • Compile audit files and review finance team outputs
  • Assist auditors with queries and supply required documentation

Supplier Management

  • Review invoices captured on QuickBooks
  • Ensure accurate GST treatment and timely processing
  • Review supplier reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
  • Review and release supplier payments

Payroll

  • Submit payroll changes and updates
  • Import payroll journals and ensure taxes are paid timeously

Stock Management

  • Oversee monthly stock counts and conduct spot checks
  • Ensure stock processes are followed and issues addressed with operations

Fixed Assets

  • Maintain and review the fixed asset register
  • Conduct spot checks and review depreciation journals

Accounts Receivable

  • Review revenue invoices and monthly billing
  • Review debtor age analysis and follow up on overdue accounts

GST & Statutory

  • Prepare GST reports and returns
  • Ensure timely submission and payment
  • Reconcile GST monthly

Ad Hoc Financial Support

  • Calculate daily occupancy metrics
  • Prepare royalty calculations, sponsorship and insurance schedules
  • Support business with additional financial requests

What we are looking for: 

  • Financial degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant
  • Strong QuickBooks experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, problem‑solving, planning and organisation
  • High integrity and relationship‑building capability
