A well-established non-profit organisation is looking to appoint a Finance & Grants Officer to join its finance team. This is a trusted, hands-on role supporting the financial administration and grant management that keeps the organisation’s work moving forward.
This is not a back-office, tick-box finance role. It’s for someone who likes responsibility, structure, and knowing their work genuinely matters.

What you’ll be doing:
The day-to-day that really matters:

- Maintaining accurate and audit-ready financial records
- Supporting grant and donor reporting with reliable financial data
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Assisting with procurement processes and payment requests
- Maintaining supplier and service provider information
- Providing finance support to internal teams as needed
You’ll be the steady hand that keeps the numbers clean, compliant, and reliable.
This role will suit you if you are:
- Highly organised and detail-driven
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Confident working independently and with different teams
- Calm, practical, and solutions-focused
- Big on integrity, discretion, and accountability
Experience & background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar
- SAICA or SAIPA articles preferred (qualified by experience considered)
- Minimum of 3+ years’ finance experience
- Grant management experience is advantageous
- Experience with Pastel Evolution
- Strong Excel skills (financial functions, reporting, spreadsheets)
- Payroll exposure is beneficial
