Our firm, situated in the heart of the Cape Town CBD, specialises in personal injury and related litigation matters. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality legal services while maintaining a supportive, professional, and collaborative working environment. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, inter alia:
- Assisting with the preparation, management, and progression of personal injury matters from inception to trial and settlement;
- Attending court, assisting with trial preparation, and briefing counsel;
- Liaising with clients, experts, counsel, and maintaining regular client communication;
- Drafting legal documents, pleadings, notices, correspondence, and affidavits;
- Managing and maintaining accurate and well-organised case files (both electronic and physical);
- Conducting legal research and providing general administrative support to legal practitioners;
- Supporting the legal team in meeting procedural deadlines and compliance requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed LLB degree;
- Completion of Practical Legal Training (PLT) will be advantageous;
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle will be beneficial;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans (essential);
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel);
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and function effectively as part of a team;
- Previous legal experience or a demonstrated interest in personal injury law will be advantageous.
