The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, manufacture, modification, and maintenance of tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to support efficient and accurate fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- You will have a Trade Test as a Toolmaker / Jig and Die Maker, coupled with 5 years proven experience in a steel fabrication or steel works manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Hands-on experience with manual machining equipment (lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines); CNC exposure advantageous
- Solid understanding of steel materials, tolerances, and fabrication processes
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work shifts is essential
- You must have a valid driver’s licence, own reliable transport, and a clear criminal and credit record.
