Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator with 3–5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR processes and compliance requirements, including but not limited to BBBEE, POPI, WCA, UIF. EE and SDL requirements. This role requires someone who can work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment and will support strategic HR initiatives while ensuring operational excellence and legal compliance across all HR activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support compliance with labour legislation, company policies, and procedures.
- Support the coordination and implementation of EE plans and reporting in line with legislative requirements and minute quarterly EE Meetings.
- Support in the development and management of the annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) and coordination with the training centre regarding apprentices.
- Support the compilation and submission of monthly HR KPIs to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Ensure adherence to the POPI Act in all HR-related data handling and processes.
- Manage WCA submissions and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Coordinate employee benefits and leave administration.
- Ensure accurate time keeping of employees and accuracy of time records on ERS.
- Assist in preparing HR reports and documentation for audits and compliance.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department and respond to employee queries.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Essential Requirements:
- HR-related diploma
- Experience in a compliance-focused HR environment.
- Familiarity with South African labour laws and regulations.
- 3–5 years of experience in a Human Resources administrative role.
- Knowledge of BBBEE, POPI Act, WCA and UIF processes is essential.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
