Superintendent: Group Financial Reporting (CA(SA) / IFRS / Consolidation Accounting)

    • Prepare and review group consolidation packs and supporting financial workings on a monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Perform consolidation journals, checks, and ensure accuracy prior to system reporting.
    • Prepare subsidiary financial statements in line with IFRS Accounting Standards and Group policies.
    • Develop financial models including discounted cash flow calculations, impairment assessments, and environmental rehabilitation obligations.
    • Assist with life-of-mine model reviews and weighted average cost of capital calculations.
    • Research and resolve complex technical accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memorandums.
    • Support acquisition accounting processes, including purchase price allocations and entity integrations.
    • Prepare consolidated financial reports, segment reporting, and cost performance analysis.
    • Liaise with external auditors and provide supporting documentation during audit processes.
    • Contribute to automation and continuous improvement of financial reporting and consolidation systems.

 

    • NQF 8 qualification in Accounting (Postgraduate Diploma / Honours Degree or equivalent).
    • Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) registered with SAICA.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ post-articles experience in group financial reporting or technical accounting.
    • Experience within a large listed entity environment essential- Mining industry is advantageous.
    • Experience operating within a SOX-compliant environment advantageous.
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards and consolidation accounting principles.
    • Experience preparing financial models and discounted cash flow calculations.
    • Advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
