Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Processing Manager responsible for the overall leadership, optimization, technical integrity, and strategic direction of the gold processing plant. The role requires a highly qualified metallurgist with extensive operational experience in gold extraction, recovery optimization, plant commissioning, and large-scale capital project management. The incumbent will ensure safe, cost-effective, and environmentally compliant plant operations while delivering optimal metallurgical performance and supporting the long-term expansion strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage overall gold processing plant operations, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and optimal metallurgical performance.
    • Optimize gold recovery, plant throughput, and operational efficiency across crushing, milling, gravity, CIL/CIP, electrowinning, smelting, tailings, and refractory ore treatment processes.
    • Manage large-scale capital projects, including feasibility studies, plant design review, EPC/EPCM contractor oversight, commissioning, ramp-up, and budget control.
    • Identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements, integrate automation and control systems, and enhance plant availability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
    • Lead multidisciplinary teams across metallurgy, operations, maintenance, laboratory, and projects, fostering high accountability, performance, and safety culture.
    • Ensure compliance with international cyanide management standards, environmental regulations, tailings governance, and ISO-based management systems.
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including management, boards, contractors, and workforce, to align operational and strategic objectives.

 

 

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or related field (mandatory); Master’s or professional registration advantageous.
    • Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in gold processing operations, including at least 7 years in senior plant management or metallurgical leadership roles.
    • Proven experience managing medium to large-scale gold processing plants (CIL/CIP, gravity, flotation, BIOX, POX, or similar).
    • Strong technical knowledge of crushing, milling, classification, gravity concentration, CIL/CIP, electrowinning, smelting, cyanide management, tailings, and refractory ore treatment.
    • Operational optimization skills, including throughput maximization, recovery improvement, process control integration, plant availability, and cost-per-ton strategies
