CNC Machine Tool Specialist Technician

An opportunity exists for a technically advanced CNC Machine Tool Specialist Technician to support the installation, commissioning, REPAIR & MAINTENANCE, and optimization of CNC metal machining and plastics processing equipment across South Africa.

Core Functions:

• Installation and commissioning of CNC machinery (new and refurbished).
• Advanced diagnostics and fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, and control systems on CNC’s.
• Repair & maintenance to CNC’s.
• Interpretation of technical drawings & schematics.
• On-site technical support and performance optimization
• Training of operators and maintenance personnel on CNC machinery.

Minimum Requirements:

• Trade Tested Millwright qualification (highly advantageous).
• Completed recognized apprenticeship (local or international).
• Strong multidisciplinary capability (electrical, mechanical, mechatronics).
• Experience with CNC control systems, PROGRAMMING, drives, and automation.
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure industrial environments & resolve breakdowns asap.
• Willing & able to travel extensively across KZN and nationally.
