Job Responsibilities: 

Elimination of waste:
  • Implement and manage ME process as per allocated plan.
  • Visualisation and management of accurate ME boards timeously.
  • Utilise all allocated resources within your control effectively at all times.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Improve production within areas of control.
5S and Safety/Environmental:
  • Promote 5S condition in affected working areas as well as common work areas as allocated.
  • Manage and improve 5S in the plant according to the 5S Audit Sheet.
Quality:
  • Ensure parts produced meet quality specifications and the outflow of defective components is managed and reduced.
Delivery:
  • Compile the daily production schedule to achieve daily targets.
  • Communicate schedule to the team / ensure that they understand their production requirements.
  • Expedite incoming stock to support the production plan.
  • Manage and reduce items below minimum stock to meet targets of stock holding requirements.
Attendance
  • Monitor, report and action any timekeeping/ absenteeism concerns.
  • Verify and submit timesheets. Verify and submit exception reports. Complete and submit RTWIs.
People development:
  • Ensure HR Policies & Procedures are adhere too & enforced throughout the Team.
  • Conduct and evaluate OJT Training.
  • Ensure all disciplinary & grievances are dealt with in accordance with the company policy & procedures.
  • Performance Management is conducted with all team members.
General:
  • Report on production performance. Tend to concerns in area of responsibility and escalate according to the escalation process.
  • Update and maintain the PC boards. Conduct shift start up meeting in accordance with the Production Control Boards.
Job Requirements: 
  • National Senior Certificate (Critical)
  • Diploma: Production Management, Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or similar
  • 3-5 years experience 
  • Use of Measuring Equipment
  • Experience in the Manufacturing Environment
  • Quality Experience
  • Advanced Computer Experience
