Our client is looking for a highly organised, proactive candidate to take ownership of our clients’ day-to-day operational flow — from order capture through to production, dispatch, and delivery.
This is a critical role in the business, requiring someone who can think ahead, manage multiple moving parts, and ensure that orders are processed accurately and delivered on time. This is not a basic admin role. The client is looking for someone who can take ownership of the full order-to-delivery process and actively ensure that operations run smoothly across departments.
They require a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and understands how operations fit together.
Key Responsibilities
- Order & System Management (Sage 200)
- Capture and process customer orders accurately on Sage 200
- Generate work orders for production based on demand
- Process invoices, delivery notes, and related documentation
- Handle credit notes, returns, and adjustments
- Production Coordination
- Coordinate with production to ensure timely manufacturing of stock
- Monitor order progress and follow up on delays
- Dispatch & Logistics
- Plan and manage daily dispatching and deliveries
- Coordinate with internal drivers and third-party courier/freight providers
- Ensure all deliveries are scheduled, tracked, and completed on time
- Resolve delivery issues proactively
- Export Coordination
- Manage export documentation and delivery processes
- Liaise with freight forwarders and clearing agents
- Customer & Sales Support
- Assist customers and sales reps with quotations, order queries, and updates
- Maintain clear and professional communication at all times
- Inventory & Procurement
- Manage regular stock counts and ensure accurate system updates
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Process supplier orders and manage incoming deliveries
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in operations, logistics, or order processing
- Experience working on an ERP system (Sage 200 highly advantageous)
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale environments preferred
