Our client within the Banking Sector is seeking the services of an Automation Support Specialist to join their dynamic IT Team.  This is a 12-month contract opportunity, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.

The Automation Support Specialist is responsible for providing proactive and reactive cradle-to-grave support for enterprise automation solutions within the banking environment.  The role ensures the stability, performance, maintenance, monitoring, and continues improvement of automation platforms and processes in alignment with business objectives, operational requirements, compliance standards, and the organisations enterprise automation strategy.

The successful candidate will support business-critical automated solutions, troubleshoot incidents, drive operational efficiencies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure minimal disruption to banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Support and Operations

  • Provide end to end support for automation platforms, bots, scripts, workflows, and integrated systems.
  • Monitor automation environments to ensure optimal system availability and performance
  • Perform proactive health checks, maintenance, and system monitoring
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve automation-related incidents, failures, and exceptions
  • Manage production support activities and ensure minimal downtime of automated processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to reduce recurring issues
  • Ensure adherence to SLA’s incident management processes, and escalation procedures

Automation Maintenance and Enhancement

  • Assist with automation deployments, upgrades, patches, and releases
  • Support enhancements and optimisation initiatives for existing automation solutions
  • Participate in testing and validation of automation processes before deployment into production
  • Ensure automation controls and governance standards are maintained

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Relevant automation or RPA Certifications advantageous
  • ITIL certification advantageous
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in IT support, automation support, application support, or systems support environments
  • Experience within the Banking or Financial Sector
  • Experience supporting enterprise automation platforms and business-critical systems
  • Proven experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
