Financial Leadership & Control
- Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Establish and run strong planning and control cycles with robust variance analysis.
- Drive cost discipline and working capital optimization in a manufacturing environment.
- Translate operational data into financial insights for decision-making at the Board level.
- Build structure, discipline, and scalable processes across finance, administration, and IT.
- Define and monitor relevant financial and operational KPIs, linking plant performance to financial outcomes.
- Identify financial and operational risks early and implement pragmatic mitigation measures.
- Take ownership of financial systems and IT governance, ensuring tools support performance and control.
- Serve as a strategic partner and right-hand to the Managing Director.
- Prepare and present clear, structured financial updates to the Board of Directors.
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and strong governance across all financial matters.
- Support strategic decision-making with data-driven analysis and realistic financial scenarios.
- Ensure reliable day-to-day administration, accurate reporting, and disciplined closing processes.
- Oversee the finance and administration team and support capability building where required.
- Bring clarity and structure to internal communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- CIMA (CA)SA or SAICA qualification essential
- Strong financial background in business administration and business control.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Experience building or professionalizing finance functions in growing businesses.
- Ability to operate comfortably in a pre-profit environment and make tough tradeoffs.
- Experience with compliance processes such as BBBEE Compliance.
- Clear, structured communicator with confidence at Board level.
- High integrity and strong sense of accountability.
