Our client in the automotive industry based in Sandton is seeking an Assistant Manager that  will be responsible for supporting the Manager Used Vehicles with all activities that drive the company's used vehicle sales to achieve this department’s KPIs.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Based on experience and industry knowledge, the successful incumbent will be responsible for:
  • Hands on management of the hand-back and inspection of vehicles being returned to the yard;
  • Mechanical knowledge of vehicles with the ability to identify poor repairs or mechanical faults will be essential for the success of this role.
  • Accurately manage the repair and rebill process of Make Good Charges ensuring customers are treated fairly without compromising company’s profitability.
  • Identify any gaps to further enhance the vehicle return process to ensure vehicles are stocked and disposed of quickly at best resale price.
  • Implement means to ensure vehicles are returned in optimal condition so that good quality vehicles can be immediately disposed of and company stock becomes highly sought after.
  • Ensuring Natis Dealer stocking is done timeously.
  • Preparing and releasing vehicles sold and settled by Purchasers.
  • Support Purchasers by timeously providing Dealer Stock letters, original Natis and change of ownership documents.
  • Create strong relationships and build company reputation with all stakeholders and key used market players.
  • Ensure that dealer and customer satisfaction is rated very highly by handling queries or complaints professionally and resolving issues promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • NQF Level 5 (240 credits)
  • Hands on mechanical knowledge of vehicles and bodywork is essential
  • Experience in selling used vehicles will be advantageous
  • Hands on individual with strong customer handling, relationship and interaction skills
  • Knowledge of general automotive industry trends
