An international flavour manufacturing business establishing its South African operation. The company currently manufactures premium flavour concentrates for the vape and e-liquid industry and has ambitious plans to expand into the FMCG sector, including cosmetics and other flavour applications. The South African operation will become the group's primary manufacturing facility, with production transitioning from the UK by December/January.

This is a unique opportunity to join the business during its start-up phase in South Africa. The Operations Business Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing the South African operation, ensuring the business is fully operational by 1 September.
Working closely with the UK Management team, this individual will be responsible for coordinating the operational setup, implementing processes, assisting with recruitment, managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the successful launch of the facility.

Minimum Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Operations Management
Proven experience in Operations or Business Management within a manufacturing environment.
Experience setting up or improving operational processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across international teams.
Strong organisational and project management ability.
Hands-on approach with the ability to work within a growing business.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Experience within manufacturing, chemicals, food manufacturing or FMCG will be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the complete operational setup of the South African business.
Work directly with the UK management team to execute the company's expansion strategy.
Develop and implement operational processes and procedures.
Coordinate factory setup and ensure operational readiness.
Assist with recruitment and onboarding of future production staff.
Manage suppliers and operational service providers.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Establish reporting structures and operational KPIs.
Support production planning and inventory management.
Drive continuous improvement across all operational functions.
