Our client based in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth is looking for a Sales Executive to join their dynamic team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving maximum sales
profitability, growth, and account penetration within defined countries and market segments by effectively
selling the company’s products and/or related services

Duties:
  • Sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach and by creating awareness and growing the brand.
  • Primarily focused on sales of standard designs.
  • Respond to website, email and phone inquiries, as well as distributor orders.
  • Make initial contact with prospective buyers.
  • Establish client needs and recommend suitable vessel in conjunction with Technical Manager.
  • Prepare costing, plus any additional equipment required.
  • Agree on delivery method with clients and cost accordingly.
  • Generate final proposals and build time in consultation with Sales Manager and Production Manager.
  • Submit proposal and follow up.
  • In the event of a sale, take care of all client liaisons, visits, feedback reporting, vessel handover, etc.
  • Attend to any customer complaints.
  • Attend relevant industry trade shows where required.
  • Coordinate all marketing activities for the local market.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations as required.
Future Role Evolution:
  • Future role will include travel to existing and prospective distributors in Southern Africa.
  • With time the role will evolve into one of larger bespoke sales to larger corporate clients and gov institutions.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales, with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets, is an essential minimum requirement.
  • A demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; and the ability to determine the best solution in line with customers’ requirements.
  • Must have excellent proposal writing and presentation skills and a strong CRM background.
  • Must have a demonstrated skill in and an affinity for prospecting, including courtesy and cold call calling
