Junior Credit Controller – FMCG

Main Purpose of the Job:
The Junior Credit Controller is to support the credit control team by ensuring the timely collection of outstanding customer payments, thereby reducing the level of overdue accounts and contributing to the company’s cash flow management.
Requirements
- Diploma in Credit Management (1-4) or equivalent finance-related qualification.
- Minimum 2 + years in credit control/debtors management, preferably in the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Month end collections and achieving targets
- To ensure that proper and accurate reconciliations are in place to support payment process
- Structure monthly invoices / statements to ensure timely payments
- Credit vetting and recommendations on credit risk.
- Debtors’ maintenance / updates
- Handle account queries / POD’s / credits etc. and process timeously.
- Filing of day-to-day documentation
- Allocating payments from bank statements and applying to accounts accurately
- Excellent telephone manners / skills
- Collection skills and ability
