Overview
KYC Administrator Rosebank Sandton Johannesburg
Our financial services client in Rosebank Sandton is looking for a KYC Administrator with 3-4 year’s experience. You will be performing Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks on new and existing clients, ensuring full compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Matric and a Certificate/Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent AML/KYC certification
- 3-4 years of experience in a KYC, AML, or Compliance role within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of AML/KYC
- Familiarity with screening tools (e.g. LexisNexis).
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Responsibilities
- Conduct KYC, CDD, and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks on new and existing clients (individuals and corporate entities).
- Verify client identity documents, proof of address, source of funds, and source of wealth.
- Screen clients against sanctions lists, PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) databases, and adverse media using tools such as LexisNexis, or similar.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within internal KYC/CRM systems.
- Perform periodic reviews of existing client files based on risk classification (low, medium, high).
- Escalate suspicious activity or high-risk clients to the MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) or Compliance Manager.
