Our client in the Automotive sector is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Duties:
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction levels through excellence in dispatching, identifying, receiving, and ensuring quality of products.
  • Measure and address the effectiveness of employee performance and warehousing activities.
  • Meets warehouse financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Control and organize storage and inventory space.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipments.
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly and yearly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.
  • Define staffing needs and allocate workload.
  • Implement new methods, processes, and improvements.
  • Prepare, pack, schedule, and route orders for delivery.
  • Keeps vehicles operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Ensure warehouse is compliant with current health &
    safety regulations and the warehouse team is trained
    appropriately.
  • Ensure stock movement and stock keeping standards
    are maintained.
  • Responsible for maintaining and re-ordering of
    general consumables/ packaging.
  • Manage drivers and their workload.
  • Follow up necessary disciplinary steps with manager
    and HR.
  • Regularly appraise team members and carry out company annual performance review.
