Market Growth and Projects:
- Identify new opportunities that will result in increased stainless steel usage and increased sales
- Promote the use of Steel and its capabilities at exhibitions, expos, marketing media and publications
- Identify strategic publications to partner with for advertising purposes
- Prepare articles and adverts for the different publications
- Ensure that there is sufficient relevant educational information on stainless steel
- Conduct research, obtain and keep marketing information on existing and new applications and developments in the Stainless Steel industry.
- Maintain an applications data base for marketing purposes
- Liaise within the company group for learning and information sharing
- Write and submit reports to relevant stakeholders
- Liaise interdepartmentally on project related orders and for product development
- Ensure accuracy of all information on order loading
- Work closely with PR department for PR related projects
- Keep track of all new product and project related orders in the plant and closely monitor all projects to completion
- Liaise with relevant local and international associations
- Liaise with relevant industry players on existing and potential projects
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with Math and Science.
- Diploma/degree in a Technical field/ Commercial/ Marketing/ Tertiary qualification in Engineering (metallurgy, mechanical, industrial, chemical or commercial (B.Com, business management) is required.
- MDP/EDP recommended.
- The incumbent should have 6 years’ experience of the business, the product and commercial processes.
- The incumbent should ensure excellent customer/supplier relations through good communication skills and experience with the markets.
- Incumbent must be able to negotiate and recommend accurately.
- Incumbent must understand the process and product grades.
- Technical report writing will be an advantage
- Incumbent must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally as required
