KPI's
- Ensure that output, scrap, rework and housekeeping targets are met at all times
- Carry out quality audits and ensure that products are within specification
- Update your team on performance against targets
- Ensure employees work according to Work Instruction
- Communicate problems with other departmental leaders
- Develop employee training plan and update training records according to company’s Training Plan
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations
- Manage all internal performance monitoring systems ( OEE, SCADA )
- Drive plant First Time Pass Rate improvements in Foundry.
- Trade Certificate in Tool, Jig, and Die Making or relevant qualification would be preferred.
- A tertiary qualification in the Quality / Production field will be an advantage
- Successfully completion of Supervision Programme.
- At least 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years as a Supervisor/Technician/Team Leader (foundry experience essential)
- Should have thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Thorough knowledge of quality standards and requirements
- Thorough knowledge of all foundry processes is essential
- Excellent attendance and impeccable disciplinary records
- Strong Communication and Leadership skills
- Computer literacy essential
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Valid SA driver's license will have an added advantage
