New vacancy is available for a Supplier Quality Auditor in the Purchasing Department for our client in the Automotive Industry, based in Kariega.
 
To manage all functions of the SQA (Supplier Quality Auditor) in line with the “Group” Standards and Formel-Q Strategy by ensuring that all the suppliers are evaluated, compliant, and supplied according to the Group Africa specified requirements.
Duties:
  • Evaluate the suppliers Quality Process and Product Management System; Manage, support, and guide the supplier’s management team.
  • Compile detailed Audit Reports of all findings from the Audited / evaluated Suppliers.
  • Advise and support all new proposed and existing Suppliers in their planning and implementation of Production and Quality Systems.
  • Support and drive the suppliers in the evaluation of their corrective action programs resulting from the Process and Product Audits (VA), Sub-Supplier Management (ULM), Technical Revisions (TRL), Potential Analyses (POT), and Problem Analyses (PA).
  • Manage all agreed corrective actions developed with new Brownfield/Greenfield suppliers and liaise with the Internal stakeholders to agree on the suppliers and component development synergies supporting the New Project sourcing deadlines.
  • Manage and evaluate suppliers in the SSA regions and update the Group system ISQAD timeously with the outcome of the Audit Activities.
  • Manage and support the synergies by auditing suppliers, and providing a detailed Audit Reports.
  • Ensure the correct Audit ratings and Quality status from the Suppliers are entered into GAS-TI.
  • Be actively involved in making strategic recommendations for the nomination of suppliers to support the LSC/CSC localization programs.
  • Manage and drive the Quality Technical Requirements (QTR), establish the risk classifications for the prioritization of A, B, and C components in line with your specific product Group released part in line with the Group requirements.
  • Escalate RED TRL (Technical Reviews), Poor Project Related status, Poor Supplier delivers & part Quality performance to Cross-functional divisions and drive the corrective actions with their support to improve compliance.
  • Manage the Group Organisational of all Level 3 (Supplier and Part supply disruptions) in the Group TOP-Q escalation meetings for specific released product group parts.
Qualifications:
  • A National Diploma or degree in an Engineering field (Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Polymer).
Experience:
  • 5 years Part Quality experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience and understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and VDA QMC (Quality Management Systems).
Essential:
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Presentation-, report writing-, training skills.
  • Strong Leadership- and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate Engineering activities.
  • A working knowledge of statistical techniques and Quality tools
  • Proven abilities in problem-solving through Quality Core Tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • In-depth knowledge of component testing/development.
  • Read and interpret specific part specifications.
  • This job function entails extensive travel and travel at short notice when required.
Added Advantage:
  • Valid auditor qualification such as EOQ / VDA 6.3.
  • Experience or clear understanding of Auditing and Auditing Mythologies.
  • Having a broad knowledge of Group Systems, Formel-Q Philosophy and Robust manufacturing processes in the different technology/product groups.
