Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a CMM Technician (Material Laboratory) to join their dynamic team in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth
 
Job Description: 
  • Identifying and testing parameters for products. Evaluating production stages. 
  • Develop, and maintain the annual product audit schedule in accordance to established testing parameters. 
  • Coordinating the product audit CAPA process. Generate RIV Sheets and inspection documents as per customer. Maintain a database for the storage and status of all RIV documents 
  • Maintain the annual review register for customer requalification. Co-ordinate improvement actions based on re-qualification process dimensional deviation 
  • Develop and maintain the annual MSA schedules 
  • Maintain the gauge status register for variable and attributes gauges. MSA schedules to test all gauges over periodic cycle. Co-ordination of corrective and improvement action to gauges through the gauge incidents process. Ensure that gauge R&R’s are conducted on all new equipment. 
  • Maintain the part incident and risk register (Product Conformance Audit sheet) to ensure that all high-risk parts are dock audited in accordance to the shipping list. 
  • Maintain the daily Dock Audit sheet to ensure the review of all other parts periodically. 
  • Co-ordination of corrective and improvement actions to parts through the incidents process. 
  • Conducting CMM measurement of parts, assemblies and components in accordance with customer requirements and GD&T guidelines. 
  • Draft final measurement reports and present in the appropriate format to meet the customer requirement. 
  • Ensure that reports are stored in the Quality Metrology folder
Job Requirements: 
  • Grade 12 
  • VDA 6.5 Audit qualification (Advantageous) 
  • Computer literate (Intermediate MS-Office skills) 
  • Core tools Certification (Advantageous) 
  • Read and understand technical drawings and/or plans. 
  • 3+ years’ experience in quality in an automotive environment 
  • 2+ years’ experience in implementing and auditing products within an automotive environment. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in-depth knowledge of manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry

  • Stop production when non-conforming product is made. 
  • Report any unsafe act and/or condition to HSEE Co-Ordinator
