Main Duties/Key Results Areas:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Maintain hardware and software in the organisation. Proficient Windows 10-11/Office 365
- Installation and configuration.
- Troubleshoot network issues & Voip issues
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network functionality.
- Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues, including connectivity and access problems.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Support the implementation of network upgrades and enhancements.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers to design and implement network solutions for clients.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices are followed.
- All other tasks and related duties as expected from the employer from time to time.
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant courses/training completed in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of network concepts, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and network protocols.
- Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and providing technical support.
- Knowledge of network security principles and practices.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Certification in networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
