ENVIRONMENT:
Our client, a proudly South African car rental company with over 36 years of industry experience, is looking for a dynamic and personable Ancillary Sales Manager. This role involves leading a team to maximize revenue through effective cross-selling and up-selling of waivers and ancillary products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, a talent for motivating others, and a dedication to providing exceptional customer experiences. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, and at least 5 years of sales experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, are required.
 
DUTIES:
Leadership and Team Management:
  • Inspire and lead a team of 3 sales agents to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to help team members grow and succeed.
  • Cultivate a positive, energetic, and performance-driven team culture.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to boost revenue from waivers and ancillary products.
  • Monitor sales performance and make data-driven adjustments to strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment with promotional activities and campaigns.
Performance Measurement:
  • Set clear, achievable performance targets for the team.
  • Regularly track and analyse sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, highlighting successes and areas for development.
Customer Experience:
  • Ensure their customers receive top-notch service and support, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Proactively address and resolve customer issues related to waivers and ancillary products.
  • Gather customer feedback to continually refine and improve their offerings.
Training and Development:
  • Design and implement training programs to enhance the team’s sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to keep the team at the forefront of sales excellence.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on sales performance.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS:
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
 
Performance Criteria:
  • Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for waivers and ancillary products.
  • Continuous improvement in team sales metrics such as conversion rates and average transaction value.
