Finance Manager

My client is a leading company in the food and beverage manufacturing industry, seeking a Financial Manager with a solid accounting background and strong people skills to join their team based in Cape Town. You will oversee accounts, ensuring compliance, managing HR functions, and lead the financial admin team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced, degreed Accountant with inherent leadership skills to take that step into a Finance Manager role.  The culture of the organisation supports collaboration, transparency, accountability and integrity. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Compile the monthly management accounts
• Analyse and report on variances
• Prepare and maintain trial balance and balance sheets
• Prepare, control and maintain asset register
• Process all month-end journals.
• Manage SARS submissions and address and resolve any queries
• Manage debtors and creditor reconciliations
• Loading of creditors and all other payments
• Check invoices for accuracy and sign-off
• Manage and oversee petty cash transactions
• Prepare audit files and liaise and manage auditors
• Manage the HR requirements, employment records etc
• Manage the finance and admin team

Requirements:

• BComm in Accounting or similar 
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a full function financial controller role
• Strong proven people skills and leadership ability or experience
• Valid driver's license
