New vacancy has become available for a Risk and Compliance Officer in the Risk Control Department for our client in the vehicle (trucks) finance industry. The position will be based in Isando JHB.
 
Duties:
  • Formulate and improve the basic system and management principles of the company's comprehensive risk management system, establish the company's credit risk management and control system, market risk, operational risk and internal control management system, and formulate and improve the relevant management systems, processes and methods;
  • Organize the establishment and improvement of the legal compliance system, and improve the annual legal compliance risk management plan;
  • Formulate and implement the company's annual work plans and internal control management plan;
  • Review planned legislative changes and recommend required changes within organisation and update risk control and operational procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies;
  • Be responsible for account rehabilitation by collection, deal restructuring and managing arrangements 
  • Analyze and review the company's risk information, put forward risk mitigating opinions, and prepare risk management related reports;
  • Analyze asset quality management systems, processes, standards and procedures, and regularly identify, summarize, and report the company's asset risk classification;
  • Regularly organize and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's internal control management;
  • Participate in the company's new product development and business process reengineering, and put forward the compliance recommendations; 
  • Review the company's legal documents; review the compliance of the company's systems, new products, new suppliers, etc., and answer the compliance and legal issues;
  • Be responsible for contributing to the Collections strategy including repossessions process;
  • Maintain contact with regulatory agencies, courts, and judicial agencies, coordinate on-site and off-site regulatory work, coordinate and organize relevant departments to cooperate with each other, track and urge relevant departments to implement regulatory opinions, and preside over the work related to regulatory ratings and credit investigation management;
  • Organize and handle the company's legal cases, compliance cases, infringement cases, etc.; organize and manage the company's intellectual property affairs management;
  • Be responsible for credit review, loan review, post-loan off-site management, document management, quality management, etc.;
  • Enhance and cultivate compliance culture within the company;
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification a necessity: B Com (Accounting) or B Com Honours in Risk Management
  • Excellent knowledge in: POPIA / FAIS / FICA/Anti-money Laundering (AML) and NCR
  • RE1
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience
