Our client in the automotive industry requires an experienced Robot Technician for their plant in Port Elizabeth, to ensuring that Robots, Robotic equipment, and machinery repairs are done according to Scheduled Maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: -

Ensuring that Robots, Robotic equipment, and machinery repairs are done according to Scheduled Maintenance Reports.
Conducting fault-finding and repairs on robotic equipment.
Adherence to health and safety requirements
Assist with electrical breakdowns, callouts, and implementation of changes /optimization in the Plant

Requirements
Experience on Motoman, Yaskawa and Fanuc Robots
Post Matric Technical Qualification.
Repair, fault finding and routine maintenance of all Robots and Robotic Equipment
Have a minimum of 5 years’ technical experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
Good working knowledge of PLC’s and HMI’s will be an added benefit.
Good working knowledge of electrical sensors, and proximity switches
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings will be an added benefit
Ability to build and repair electronic circuits / small jig panels
Working knowledge of CO2 welding and Spot welding
Basic Pneumatic experience
Computer literate (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Good communication skills (verbal & written)
Good problem solving and analytical skills
