Senior Accountant

An opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join my client in the ICT sector. You will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing critical financial insights. Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly payroll processes
• Capture and process payments to suppliers
• Document financial transactions by entering account information
• Capture and reconcile debtors and creditors accounts
• Perform bank account reconciliations
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Complete and submit all regulatory returns and manage all SARS-related matters
• Ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and applicable legislations
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Perform cash flow forecasting and control
• Reconcile inter-company loan accounts
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
• Prepare Annual Financial Statements
• Control the asset register

Requirements:

• Financial Accounting Honours degree, BComm Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the accounting field
• Knowledge of relevant financial legislation, accounting, and auditing standards
• Knowledge of Value Added Tax (VAT) and other tax legislative requirements
• Knowledge of SimplePay (advantageous)
• Proficiency in the Xero Accounting Package
