Applications are invited from suitable and qualified candidates for the Senior Business Analyst role based in Port Elizabeth.
 
The Senior Business Analyst will act as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood and translated into functional specifications for our software solutions.

This role involves analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and facilitating the successful delivery of the software projects.

Key Responsibilities: 
▪ Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and surveys.
▪ Business Process Analysis: Analyse existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and streamlining operations.

Documentation:
▪ Requirements Documentation: Create detailed functional specifications, user stories, and use cases to guide development teams.
▪ Visual Modelling: Develop process flows, data models, and wireframes to illustrate business processes and system interactions.

Project Support:
▪ Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
▪ Requirements Validation: Facilitate review sessions with stakeholders to validate and prioritize requirements.

Testing & Quality Assurance:
▪ Test Case Development: Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and develop test cases based on requirements.
▪ User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Assist in planning and conducting UAT to ensure the final product meets business needs.

Continuous Improvement:
▪ Solution Evaluation: Analyse and evaluate proposed solutions to ensure they align with business objectives and user needs.

Qualifications:
▪ Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
▪ Experience:
Minimum 10 years proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development environments, ideally in Agile methodologies.
▪ Tools:
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management and documentation tools.

Skills:
▪ Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess business needs and recommend effective solutions.
▪ Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
▪ Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
