Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth.
 
Job Description:
  • Compile and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with IATF16949 and customer requirements 
  • Maintain the Plant Quality Manual and Procedures from the other departments 
  • Manage the Corrective Action for external customer complaints 
  • Co-ordinate that Plant Management Review Meetings are held as required  
  • Co-ordinate internal/external auditors during audit 
  • Promote quality awareness throughout the Plant 
  • Co-ordinate all documentation requirements 
  • Ensure that all quality controlled records are identified and maintained 
  • Manage and conduct all internal audits 
  • Ensure that all Customer requirements are met 
  • Assist all departments with Customer specific requirements as per quality agreements and requirements 
  • Continuous improvement of product quality and systems by analysing performance and implementation of  corrective action/s when required 
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement areas to maintain agreed quality level of system and parts 
  • Overview of the core tool review process and inputs to the quality system 
  • Manage Customer requests and/or complaints 
  • Attend to all Customer requests and/or complaints and give necessary feedback as required within designated timeframes (containment and permanent corrective actions) 
  • Visit Customers regularly and as requested by Customer and/or Company Quality Representative 
  • Use Customer specific problem-solving methods (G8D) 
  • Manage any quality related customer systems and processes required  
  • Co-ordinate all improvement actions or problem solving between the departments and facilitate the 8D process 
  • Manage Quality Performance Indicators 
  • Ensure proper recording of all data required for quality performance indicators 
  • Compile weekly, monthly graphs 
  • Analyse and implement corrective/preventative action to maintain and improve all KPI’s
Job Requirements: 
  • National Diploma: Quality or National Diploma in Engineering. B-Tech Quality/City & Guilds 
  • Computer literate (Intermediate to Advanced  MS-Office skills) 
  • Core tools Certification.  
  • Project Management Qualification. 
  • Manufacturing process knowledge coupled with mechanical and technical logic. 
  • Read and understand technical drawings and/or plans.  
  • 3+ years’ experience in quality in an automotive environment  
  • 2+ years’ experience in implementing and auditing quality system within an automotive environment.

  • Stop production when non- conforming product is made. 
  • Report any unsafe act and/or condition to HSEE Co-Ordinator.
