Please note this role is a remote working role, reporting to head office abroad, and is initially on a fixed term contract; acting as a development product agent, with the view to building a satellite division in SA and Sub-Saharan Africa, therefore extensive travel in SA and various African countries is essential.
We do require a hands-on manager, who has experience in new business development within the formal and informal retail sector, with expansion into Africa being a long term goal. You must have experience in import and export pricing strategies, as well as knowledge of INCO terms
- You will have a tertiary qualification in either Business or Sales/Marketing, coupled with 10 + years experience in the Personal Care Product or Consumer Packaged Goods business development, as a senior level, with knowledge of INCO terms.
- You will have experience in developing and implementing sales/pricing strategies for accelerating growth, develop business plans for various regions and markets (informal and formal), as well as create/maintain and expand distributor relationships.
- You will have a hands-on approach and be experienced in building relationships, negotiating with retailer stakeholders, be proficient in providing stock and ensuring merchandising efficiency in store.
- This role requires extensive travelling in SA and eventually across borders into Africa, therefore you must be prepared to spend significant time away from home.
- A strong self-discipline, work ethic, drive and results driven/entrepreneurial traits are essential
- You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
