Senior Finance Coordinator

Seeking a Senior Finance Coordinator. This role calls on an individual who is highly organized, analytical and a decisive decision maker as well as someone that is very strong with communicating and relationship building. You will be required to deal with multiple departments, ensure compliance with legal regulations and timeously and effectively escalate any issues within the medical field.

 

Responsibilities:

• Examine and track compliance to legal regulations, cost control (i.e. overstaffing, overtime), billing accuracy, increase occupancy,revenue, improve margins, collections,ensure that Shared Services is effectively implemented, staff productivity, interdepartmental coordination
• Maintain and establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase occupancy
• Prepare and put together necessary reports and submit as required 
• Review Billing & Collections, liaise with Patient Administration Manager, Billing Clerks, Debtors Clerks, Case Managers, ensure correct & accurate billing
• Manage issues together with various Hospital departments, i.e. ensure availability of stock, timely collections, correct bed allocations, process blockages
• Develop and sustain protocols to streamline resolution processes and minimize disruptions

Requirements: 

• Finance Qualification
• SAIPA qualified highly advantageous
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to deal with multiple departments
• Must have previous experience within a medical or Doctors rooms environment
• Sound understanding of legal, regulatory, and financial aspects of healthcare operations
