Finance Analyst (Projects)

We are currently in search of a talented Finance Analyst (Projects) to join our client in the retail the space at their office is the Cape Town CBD.

Our client is a innovative and rapidly expanding company seeking an intelligent, forward thinking individual to be a pivotal part of their FP&A team.

 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for projects aimed at advancing finance and business processes by identifying opportunities for automation through review and redesign of existing processes.
• Document business processes, establishing and implementing improvements by understanding interdependencies, system intricacies, and potential automation risks within the finance framework.
• Conduct investigations into the company’s current processes to fully comprehend financial interactions, proposing strategic enhancements.
• Automate existing processes, drive technological improvements and build future fit efficiencies around cost optimization.
• Forge strong partnerships with IT, Tech, Product and BI departments to ensure delivery of finance projects.
• Gain an understanding of the data points and data flow throughout the business that affect the accuracy, completeness and validity of financial reporting
• Facilitate the building of BI reports through working with the BI team to include the relevant data points within the correct cubes for reporting purposes

 

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a finance analyst or BI role.
• Good understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and analysis gained through practical experience.
• Experience in Fintech, Retail, E-Commerce or Tech industries.
• Advanced skills in Excel and a basic knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with systems like TM1, Looker, Sage, and Board will be advantageous.
