Requirements
Please note that a Code 14 drivers license and a minimum of 5 years post trade experience working on Mercedes, ERF and MAN trucks is essential
- You will have completed a recognised trade test as a Diesel Mechanic, coupled with 5 years post trade experience in the fault finding, repair and maintenance to vehicles in a fast paced fleet
- You will have an understanding of electrical, pneumatics and hydraulic systems within heavy duty vehicles and plant equipment, as well as being able to perform maintenance and repair to these systems.
- You will be physically fit, , have high energy and communicate effectively in English
- You must be flexible and able to travel to sites and work in irregular conditions to ensure breakdowns are efficiently repaired.
- A high level of expert problem solving skills is essential
- You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
